Sauna business plan with calculations or how to open a sauna. Calculation of the number and volume of timber

On a good note, the beginning of each construction should be the calculation of funds, which act as a measure of the potential of the future developer. Everyone wants to live in a mansion, but for some they are lush and tall, while for others they are simple: an upper room and a canopy. The same is the case with the baths. It is always necessary to calculate the upcoming expenses. This will shorten the construction time and add confidence in its completion. Nevertheless, developers often begin construction under the Napoleonic motto "The main thing is to start a battle, and then it will be seen", from where long-term construction projects appear.

Why don't construction sites give final prices?

But we do not want long-term construction, we choose a different path - prudent and we want to know how much it costs to build a bathhouse even before the start of its construction. But how much can the calculations be correct? Most manufacturers of frame or log houses and saunas name only approximate amounts, the knowledge of which gives absolutely nothing to developers. This is not their fault, the whole point is that the price of a turnkey bath depends on a number of factors, which cannot be calculated by looking at a simple layout; this requires a working project and a construction estimate.

And, as a rule, no one gives them out for nothing. Normal working projects, those where you can get a specification for any screw that fixes the hooks in the dressing room, are drawn up for each object individually, after concluding a contract, discussing the wishes of the customer and making a certain amount of prepayment.

The only way to find out the value of an object - find a completed project, that is, a ready-made, commissioned bath. In this case, you can come close to some kind of value certainty. Although you can purchase a typical bath project, of which there are plenty of them on the network, at the same time, be guided by an amount in the region of 10-50 thousand, depending on the quality and prevalence of the project. However, do not expect specifications for interior equipment, furniture, etc. from such a typical project. In most cases, there are no sections with electrics, heating and sewerage.

What significantly affects the final cost of the bath?

But it's not all that complicated. It is quite natural and understandable desire to build a turnkey bathhouse inexpensively with the help of a construction organization or quite feasible... The main thing is to take into account a number of important factors that really affect the final cost of the finished object.

Adequate foundation parameters.

The most suitable types of foundations for a bath will be, or a foundation on screw piles. A bathhouse is always a small structure, which is often made on the basis of a wooden frame or from a bar or log, therefore, the requirements for the foundation are simpler here than when building a cottage. Although of course the bathhouse is different.

Nevertheless, when building a stone bath from gas silicate blocks, bricks, and other piece materials, a light foundation cannot be dispensed with - here, as they say, give all your best "to the fullest." In general, in order to decide, you need to build on only two positions: on the characteristics of the soil and the weight parameters of the structure. At the same time, a competent calculation will allow you to avoid unnecessary unnecessary costs during the construction of the foundation and reduce the total cost of construction.

The main question is the material for the walls of the bath

Log cabin for a bath is the most reliable choice

A log is one of the less expensive (not the cheapest) materials for building a bathhouse and the most suitable in spirit for those who support a "healthy lifestyle".

You don't have to spend money on the interior decoration of a log bath - you only need to polish the logs and process them. Yes, and such a blockhouse will stand for more than a dozen years, the main thing is not to forget it on time and regularly process it.

Finishing the bath will only be required for the steam room of the bath, and the ideal option would be to finish it with larch wood, since it is not afraid of exposure to high temperatures and moisture. Walls trimmed with larch will not crack over time, the boards will not warp and will not begin to emit resin. The inner surfaces of the steam room can be finished with linden, alder or aspen lining.

Many agree that the simplest and most inexpensive construction is frame bath... Treat the steam and waterproofing of the walls carefully, and your bathhouse will bring you joy for many years.

Also, the walls of the bath can also be built from bricks or gas silicate blocks. Only in this case, the inner wall cladding will require more attention from you. Finishing, starting from the outer walls of the bath, should look like this: plaster (if you wish, you can use a block house, lining, siding), a 50 mm layer of foam plastic, a brick or gas silicate block, a waterproofing layer, a thermal insulation 50 mm, foil, lining. If the walls of the bath are wooden, then they can be leveled with a frame, then insulation is laid, foil is placed, the joints are sealed with aluminum tape. If the wall of the bath is made of gas silicate blocks whose thickness is more than 40 cm or more, it is not necessary to insulate it from the outside. The walls can be simply plastered to prevent the blocks from getting wet.

Roof - economic minimalism in details

The roof of the bath must be made in such a way that it would be in harmony with the buildings on the site. In principle, there are no peculiarities when choosing a roofing material that takes into account the nature of the structure - absolutely any option is suitable, so choose it from an aesthetic point of view.

If you do not plan to use the attic space, but intend to dry the brooms somewhere else or just buy them, then stop at the simplest option. Make a gable roof with as gentle slopes as possible and cover it with inexpensive material. Perhaps it will be ondulin or painted metal. But keep in mind that in the rain, especially if you have attached the veranda to the bath, drops and metal do not always create pleasant sounds.

What will be the cost of an affordable frame bath?

If you are primarily interested in cost and speed of construction with the appropriate quality, then you still need to stop at a bath made by frame technology... When ordering a building of such a design in a specialized company, the nodal system allows you to install a bathhouse on the site in just 1-3 days.

Turnkey frame bath 2 meters by 4 meters without external processing of wooden structures

At the production site, wall panels are made in advance, which are delivered ready-made for subsequent assembly to the site. Such a bath does not require an expensive foundation; it is installed on concrete blocks measuring 20x20x40.

In good weather conditions, assembly on the site takes place really within one to three days... The plus is that such a bath does not require shrinkage, so it can be operated immediately after installation.

Frame bath 2 meters by 4 meters turnkey with external processing

In order to get a little sense of the price, let's take, as an example, frame bath with the following characteristics(photo and diagram are shown above!):

  • Size: 2 m by 4 m (there is no terrace);
  • Insulation: 50mm thick stone wool (all walls and ceiling) with a wind and moisture protection membrane;
  • Internal and external decoration: lining;
  • Roof: galvanized corrugated board,
  • Doors: 2 pcs. (wood), plus an attic hatch;
  • Windows: 2 pcs. (deaf);
  • Floor: unrebated board 40x150;
  • Foundation: block, 9 blocks (blocks 20x20x40);
  • Rafter system: timber 50x100 and 50x50mm;
  • Lathing: board 25x150;
  • Shelves in the steam room.

The cost of a bath of this design is almost turnkey (with delivery of material and installation) is 110-130 thousand rubles.

At the same time, the price does not include the oven, external processing of the wooden structures of the building and the electrician.

It will not be superfluous to bring one more approximate calculation and the cost (price) of materials for the independent construction of a frame-type bath.

Results of the question of the cost of building a bath

To summarize briefly to resolve the issue, then you need to pay attention to the following points that will help you reduce construction costs:

  • Do not try to make the bathhouse larger than necessary for certain purposes, plan the size based on its purpose;
  • The method of construction of the foundation must correspond to the load and characteristics of the soil;
  • The most inexpensive choice of building walls for a bath is frame technology;
  • When building a roof, do not pursue non-standardness and unusualness, if possible, choose the simplest gable roof shape and use inexpensive materials;
  • Having the skills and sufficient time, stop at the construction of a bath with your own hands.

And last but not least. When choosing a contractor or a team, find an opportunity personally see the results of their previous work or work and talk with the owners of the constructed objects. Discuss in advance with the builders all not even significant details of the construction of the bath. Answering the question how much it costs to build a turnkey bath, almost each of them implies a certain, often not the same, amount of work.

For a municipality, in which the level of physical accessibility of such services as hot and cold water supply is not high and reaches, for example, no more than 50%, the issue of providing the population with public bath services is urgent. Specialists of the Administrations of such municipalities will need to calculate an economically justified tariff for the services of a one-time visit to a public bath by the population, to compare the received cost per 1 person with the solvent ability of the population. If the economically justified cost exceeds the permissible value, calculate and approve in the budget the amount of subsidies for the maintenance of a public bath.

When performing these calculations, it is necessary to be guided by the following regulatory legal acts and methodological recommendations:

1. Decree of the State Committee of the Russian Federation on Construction, Architectural and Housing Policy No. 12 of 11.11.1998 "On the approval of the methodology for calculating the ability of the population to pay for housing and communal services"

This resolution approved the form of the accounting calculation of the cost of the bath service, which reflects the main natural and economic indicators. In this case, the natural indicator will be the admission of visitors (people), economic indicators - cost items and the final economic justified cost of the service. The accounting calculation form is presented below in the text (table 1).

2. Order of the State Construction Committee of the Russian Federation No. 191 dated 08.22.2000 "Recommendations for the regulation of material resources for the maintenance and repair of the housing stock"

Due to the lack of a normative legal act approving the norms for the consumption of material resources for baths, we recommend using this document, which approves the recommendations for the rationing of the costs of material resources and the provision of cleaning equipment for sanitary maintenance of the housing stock. This document indicates the standards for the required material resources, as well as the standard frequency of work (however, it is worth noting that it may not be suitable for all types of cleaning work in the bath). For example, you will need the following materials for cleaning floors (table 2):

Table 2. Consumption rate of materials for cleaning floors

As for the frequency of work, if for the housing stock, staircases and marches are washed 1-2 times a month, then in a public bath the floors should be washed after each shift.

3. The unified tariff and qualification reference book of workers' jobs and professions, approved by the Decree of the Ministry of Labor of Russia No. 45 of 11/15/1999.

This document allows you to familiarize yourself with and select the required list of professions, select the most suitable qualification category of specialists (depending on the types of work performed) to determine the number of staff and the subsequent calculation of the wage bill for the estimate of the bath

4. Sectoral tariff agreement in the housing and communal services of the Russian Federation for 2014-2016, approved by the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, the All-Russian Industrial Association of Employers "Union of Communal Enterprises", the All-Russian Trade Union of Life Support Workers 09.09.2013.

The sectoral tariff agreement sets the minimum monthly tariff rate at RUB 6,300. This monthly wage rate must be used when calculating the wages fund for the estimate of the bath.

5. Order of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation No. 11 of 15.11.1994 "On the approval of recommendations for the rationing and remuneration of workers in hotel, bath and laundry facilities and ritual services for the population"

This document establishes the standards for the number of working baths, gives a full description and description of the work performed by the workers, describes the job duties of the workers.

The calculation of the economically justified cost of a single visit to a public bath is the basis for obtaining subsidies from the budget for the maintenance of the bath. The amount of subsidies for a bath is defined as the difference between the costs of the full cost of the bath and the income received from the sale of the public bath service, which is sold at a preferential tariff for the population.

The list of the above regulatory legal acts can be used not only when calculating an economically justified tariff for the services of a single visit to a public bath by the population, but also when preparing a business plan for a bath.

Our company calculates economically feasible tariffs for the services of a one-time visit to a public bath by the population of municipalities, and also forms a business plan for a bath, based on the above-mentioned regulatory legal acts. Also, not only federal, but also regional regulatory documents are used.

The cost price is an important indicator, in monetary form, reflecting the actual costs of producing products, providing services and the implementation of the final result. With the cost price, you can calculate the unit price of an item. The indicator is formed in a specific production environment and reflects individual spending, technological conditions. Each industry has its own proven calculation example. The cost price of the service will make it possible to make a more accurate impression of the importance of the indicator for the economic justification of efficiency, determining the profitability.

Cost indicator in planning and cost reduction

To expand the scope of production, increase payments to engineering and technical personnel and workers, it is very important to save money. The result is a significant reduction in the cost of production, affecting the increase in savings to increase production capacity and increase the welfare of employees of the enterprise.

It is impossible to overestimate the role of accounting, which produces, at a certain stage, the costing of products. A special methodology for calculating the cost of services will promptly take care of the introduction of appropriate measures to reduce production costs, identify ineffective and inappropriate use of material resources.

Cost types

When planning and analyzing the costs of producing various types of final products or services, the estimated cost indicators are used:

  • planned;
  • regulatory;
  • actual.

The target is calculated based on projected output volumes, with economic rules and regulations applied. Planned standards are obtained if the calculation of the cost of the company's services is carried out, taking into account the future values of the boundary value of the cost of producing various types of products.

The normative indicator is obtained if the cost of services in the manufacture of goods include the mandatory application of the current standards at a particular enterprise, approved by the management of the estimates. In the calculation, the norms for raw material consumption are used, and the determination of the amount of wages is taking into account the established prices for individual work.

Actual reporting indicators are identified based on accounting information after the end of the reporting period and at the end of the production cycle, as determined by the calculation example. The cost of a service includes the actual cost of producing a product or work performed. It is this that is the basis when conducting economic future short or long periods of production.

Costing

Calculation refers to the interaction of the selected techniques and methods that allow you to calculate the cost of a unit of goods, services or work. Costing is the calculation of the cost of a service. An example of its preparation allows you to show how to get the price of many independent accounting objects. The calculation is done for the monetary value of all components of the general accounting in the enterprise.

Costing is the basis for calculating unit prices, taking into account the costs of its production. At each enterprise, based on the specifics of production, units of goods are accepted, subject to calculation. It can be 1 piece, 1 meter, sometimes tens or hundreds of parts are accepted per unit if they are produced in one cycle.

Types of calculation items

Each specific calculation reflects the features of production, but in all cases certain items are common, according to which the cost of various services is calculated:

  • materials, raw materials, components, fasteners;
  • fuel and energy resources used during the technological cycle;
  • the size of the wages of workers employed in production;
  • taxes on wages of production workers;
  • expenses for the organization of general production;
  • other production costs;
  • private and commercial spending.

Costing object

The cost estimate determines the price of the service, as shown in the calculation example. The cost of the service is calculated depending on the actual price for a certain selected product of production. In this case, not only the cost of the final product is determined, but also the costs of the initial, intermediate cycles, as well as technological phases can be calculated.

In other cases, the object of the calculation is the products manufactured by the enterprise at different stages of production, manufactured in different workshops and divisions, or finished works, services, goods.

Components of an accounting document

The costing of a service, an example of which for some areas is given below, includes certain data of the costing objects:

  • Goods and works of auxiliary shops used for the needs of the main production.
  • Intermediate semi-finished products of the main divisions used at the final production stages.
  • Products of individual shops to determine economic results.
  • Release of a batch of products determined by specific conditions or a period of time.
  • Units of a semi-finished product sold to other businesses.
  • Units of a finished product held for sale on the market.

Costing Scheme

Based on the generally accepted calculation scheme, they enter data into spreadsheets. In this order, the cost of the service is calculated. Example - Excel - an electronic calculation program that is perfectly suited for determining the cost of a unit of production.

The return of production waste in monetary terms is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of materials and components used. The number of percentages is determined by the economic justification of production for the previous periods. To find out the amount of expenses for the payment of additional salaries, they take the basic wages and calculate the percentage (for a salary of more than 200 thousand rubles, the required amount will be 10%, less than 200,000 - it will raise the amount to 15%).

When calculating payroll charges, the additional 10% introduced from 2015 is not taken into account. Includes 30% of the total additional and basic salary. Maintenance of production equipment is considered at the rate of 5% of the basic wage. The size is 9% of the average salary. General production costs are assumed to be 18% of the amount (25% of the basic salary and 75% of the additional).

The production cost is calculated in the sum of the above expenses and charges, only the amount of waste returned to the warehouse is subtracted from it.

Non-production costs are counted at 3% of the cost of production. Adding to the cost of the received costs is the cost of services. The calculation formula will be incomplete if the profit, which is determined as a percentage of the total cost, is not taken into account. To calculate the wholesale price, the manufacturer's profit and the total cost are added up, and VAT is determined from the resulting indicator.

Calculation of the cost of transport services

In order to profitably use the services of a transport company or firm, the employing company needs to have information about the cost of 1 machine-hour of the mechanism.

This indicator ultimately determines the cost of services. The calculation formula takes into account the following criteria:

  • the cost of transport when putting it on the balance sheet;
  • the amount of deductions for depreciation of the mechanism;
  • expenses for planned and sudden repairs, maintenance and diagnostics;
  • the cost of lubricants and fuels;
  • the size of the driver's or driver's wages, taking into account the due deductions;
  • the amount of overhead costs.

An example of calculating the cost of one car-hour

  • the initial cost of the truck crane - 9.9 million rubles;
  • term of use - 59 months;
  • the average number of working hours per month - 164;
  • the approved norm of expenses for maintenance - 20%;
  • fuel consumption per 1 car-hour - 13.9 liters;
  • tariff rate for payment of work - 145 rubles per hour;
  • the price of 1 liter of fuel and lubricants - 35.0 rubles;
  • the rate for 100 materials is 2.1 liters of grease;
  • grease price - 155.6 rubles;
  • overhead costs - 90% of the salary fund.

The cost of fuel and lubricants is calculated according to the specified rates and prices, the amount of payment at rates and overhead costs are added. The amount received is divided by the hours worked to determine the cost of a machine-hour.

Approximate calculation for bath services

The calculation of the cost price for bath services is carried out on the example of one institution, which accommodates 45 visitors. The planned arrival of clients for the year is calculated from the number of 5,600 people. contain a salary in the amount of 825.2 thousand rubles and an accrual to the payment fund - 249,000, which will total 1,074.2 thousand.

Composition of shop bathing expenses

To determine the amount of additional costs for maintaining the workshop, take (in thousands of rubles):

  • fuel (mazut) at 1100;
  • water by 17.5;
  • consumed electricity by 119.4;
  • payment for sewerage by 15.2;
  • general operating costs by 101.2;
  • labor protection measures - 14.2.

The total amount is 1,367.5 thousand rubles.

This is a rough estimate of the cost of the service. The example of the calculation will continue with the fact that the direct and workshop costs are added up, and the expense of funds for the maintenance of the bath per year is obtained - 2,441.7 thousand rubles. Approximately according to this scheme, the cost of hairdressing services is calculated, an example of which consists of the same cost items as for a bath.

The cost of services of medical institutions

The technology used to calculate the cost of medical services, using the example of a simple treatment in an outpatient clinic, is given below. To do this, they use standard established concepts, namely: the time to complete the procedure, the number of health workers, their qualifications, and the financial costs of the necessary drugs. The cost of a simple service in the medical industry is determined by adding:

  • the salary of a medical worker per procedure;
  • tax charges for this amount;
  • direct costs for the provision of services (medicines, inventory, dressings);
  • the amount of overhead costs received, calculated according to the approved methodology.

To calculate the cost of medical services using the example of a complex treatment, a certain procedure must be followed. First of all, the received costs of simple procedures that are part of a complex treatment are added up, and a separate calculation is made for each of them.

Determination of the cost of the whole set is calculated as a complete case of treatment. For inpatient hospitals, such a complete case is the cured patient. Outpatient institutions and polyclinics provide various services (examination, procedures, massage, injection course, physiotherapy tests, etc.).

In conclusion, it should be said that the calculation of the cost of the service of any institution or industrial enterprise is carried out without fail by the employees of the accounting department. In connection with an increase or decrease in the market value of materials, a change in the procedure for calculating wages or taxation conditions, the calculation should be carried out taking into account new data. This is necessary so that the company can clearly determine the profitability of its work, and clients or buyers receive a reasonable cost of the service provided to them or the purchased goods.

How good the frost is! Eh, rather in the sleigh!

You will not find our Russian bath better in the world!

O. Levitsky

It just so happened for a long time that for a Russian person a bath is a symbol of health and pleasure, an inexhaustible source of energy. But before you enjoy the bath, you have to work hard - decide what to build it from, draw up a project, calculate the bath so that construction does not cost a pretty penny by purchasing unnecessary or unnecessary materials.

Time will pass from desire to pleasure. And so that it does not drag on for years, we will try in this article to answer the urgent questions that interest novice builders.

Choosing a material for a bath

After going through the possible options, most sauna lovers stop at wood. And for good reason, because:

  • wood is an available material for construction;
  • wood is a breathable material with a healing and relaxing effect, it was not for nothing that our ancestors built exclusively wooden baths, and they knew a lot about them;
  • wooden buildings are easier to build, you can do it yourself, just the help of family members and friends.

Both options are good, both have advantages and disadvantages, but still there are more advantages on the side of the bar:

  • timber buildings give minimal shrinkage;
  • timber is cheaper, so the construction of a bath will be inexpensive;
  • timber buildings are not limited in size and shape, they have various configurations;
  • it is much easier to build a bathhouse from a bar than a log one;
  • there is no need to purchase a finished log house, it is recommended to buy just the material in order to avoid possible deformation of individual elements of the finished log house during storage and construction.

On a note! The most durable timber is obtained from coniferous wood - cedar, pine, fir, spruce, so they are most suitable for building a bath, less susceptible to rotting and the influence of pests.

Hardwoods are less commonly used - birch and aspen. When calculating a bar for a bath, the type of wood also matters.

However, it doesn't matter what you prefer, any breed has its own values, it is important to remember: the quality of the bath depends on the quality of the wood, so it should be well prepared and comply with all standards during construction.

Wood preparation and storage

The best season for self-harvesting is winter. The wood must be allowed to mature, only after that you can start making logs or timber. From a freshly cut tree, in order to prevent cracking, it is necessary to immediately remove the bark. Logs are stored according to the rules:

  • in bundles or stacked in stacks;
  • at a distance of at least 20 cm from the ground;
  • the gaps between the rows are left within 10 cm, and between the logs - within 5 cm.

How to calculate the amount of wood

So, the source material has been selected, the project has been drawn up or at least a sketch has been drawn, it's time to start calculating the material for the bath, taking into account some points:

  • bath design - number of storeys, number and dimensions of premises;
  • timber dimensions: its typical length is 6 m, the section is usually 100 x 100 mm, 100 x 150 mm, 150 x 150 mm, 200 x 200 mm (if necessary, the parameters are changed from privates to individual ones).

There are two calculation formulas: one determines the quantity, and the other calculates the volume. Choose the one that suits your situation and preferences.

  • We calculate the amount of material:

Thus, we have the volume of wood required for the construction of a bath.

Sometimes craftsmen suggest taking into account the shrinkage of the material and adding 10–20% for the stock when buying wood. But it is impractical to do this, since the stock will remain in any case, because door and window openings are not taken into account in the calculation. Then why pay extra money?

Now attention! A fairly common mistake for beginners is that instead of the length of the perimeter (the sum of all sides), the area (length x width) is taken into account, thus underestimating the result. What is it fraught with? Lack of material for the bath, which will have to be purchased. And this is, at least, extra transportation costs. It will be especially difficult for those who procured timber on their own and did not plan to purchase it.

Advice! When purchasing a timber, be sure to check the marking, it happens that the manufacturer indicates the dimensions are 150 x 150, and its true size is 140 x 140.

  • We calculate the number of beams per bath:

We get the desired result - the amount (beams in pieces) of material for construction.

You can also use the online calculator, where you should enter:

  • the length of the structure and the width;
  • the size of the bar;
  • the height of each floor of the future bath.

The answer will be in cubic meters, that is, the calculator will calculate the volume of the timber for the construction of a bath. To convert into pieces (for many, this is clearer), use the conversion tables.

Sauna from foam blocks

Today it has become commonplace. It affects the fact that this is an easy-to-use and inexpensive material that is lightweight, can be easily cut with a hacksaw, there are no difficulties with installation, which means that building a bathhouse with your own hands will not be difficult even for beginners.

In favor of the use of foam blocks, its advantages speak:

  • strength and reliability;
  • high sound and heat insulation and good fire safety;
  • versatility.

Among the disadvantages are low environmental friendliness and the formation of condensate in the pores, which is why blocks can collapse in cold weather. Additional insulation will be required. In addition, buildings made of foam blocks will not be hindered by finishing, without which they do not look very aesthetically pleasing. This is again a financial cost. Although, with a small budget, a foam block bath will be a good option.

Even in the preparatory phase of construction, you need to calculate the foam block for the bath, taking as a basis:

  • the height of the masonry and the total length of the outer walls;
  • a set of sizes of interior partitions (minus the dimensions of the doors);
  • the thickness of the inner and outer walls;
  • volume of defective products.

Often the latter is not taken into account. And in vain - the percentage of marriage is significant. Plus the specifics of styling. So 5-10% needs to be added when purchasing.

On a note! If the foam blocks for the bath were not made according to a private order, it means that they have the same length and differ only in thickness and height.

Therefore, we divide all bulkheads, screens, walls, fences, etc. into groups that will be erected from the same foam block products, and we count blocks for a bath in each group:

  • we calculate the total area (the length of all surfaces x height);
  • we determine the dimensions of window and door openings.

The difference between these values will be the masonry area. Dividing the result by the area of one block (knowing its length and width), we get the proper number of foam blocks for building a bath. When using blocks of small thickness, the masonry is made in 2 layers, which means that the result is doubled.

Frame bath

It is a good alternative to log and brick buildings. The main advantages of frame baths are simple construction without pitfalls and low cost of building materials.

To quickly build a frame bath, you need to correctly calculate the amount of materials. This is done individually, depending on the layout of the future building. Attention should be paid to the frame as the most expensive component of construction. A timber will be required, since wood is out of competition, lining, steam and waterproofing materials.

What can you benefit from? Replace the timber with a board of 50 x 100 mm and save about 40% of the costs, sheathing of external walls should not be made with natural clapboard, but with plastic or profiled sheets. Plus the cost of work, of course, if you build a bath with your own hands.

The only condition for replacement is that the board must be exclusively of the first grade.

If the attic of the bath is not used, then the mineral insulation is covered with substandard and used materials, which will also give good savings. You can reduce the costs of gutters by making a sand-cement blind area around the entire perimeter. It'll be enough. The columnar base is not afraid of waterlogging, and the water from the bath will calmly go into the ground without destroying the structure.

Consider all materials from the point of view of possible replacement and then you will reduce the cost of construction without sacrificing the excellent operational characteristics of the bath.

Sauna stove

The basis of good steam is a properly chosen sauna stove. Its power depends on the volume of the steam room, and if you do not know how to calculate the stove for the bath, you can get an extra headache instead of steaming in comfort.

You need to calculate the power of the furnace in the following sequence:

  1. Determine the volume of the steam room - width x length x height.
  2. Calculate the possible heat loss by multiplying the total area of doors, windows (if any), partitions by 1.2 (heat loss coefficient).
  3. We summarize the volume of the steam room and the heat loss and obtain the required power of the furnace.

With the correct calculation, you should take into account the materials from which the bath is built, and the resulting power should be corrected for typical coefficients. They are included in building codes. For example, for a log bath without sheathing, K = 1.6, if the bath is sheathed with clapboard from the inside, and even insulated, such a wall will not absorb heat, on the contrary, it will repel it, therefore K = 0.6.

Starting construction, first of all, calculate the size of the bath, based on whether you are building a "baby" for yourself, or are planning to arrange noisy bath gatherings with friends.

In the first option, you will not need a dressing room, and in general, a bathhouse can be an extension to the house. Well, fans of companies will have to spend money and calculate the main parameters of the structure, based on the maximum number of guests. But the Russian bath is so good - it will please everyone. And it will be relatively inexpensive if you build it on your own and correctly calculate the construction costs.
