Read the operating instructions for the Hefest gas boiler. How to choose a solid fuel boiler Hephaestus and how to install it? General characteristics of gas boilers Hephaestus

If just a few decades ago it was believed that there was no worthy competitive replacement for European heating equipment, today the domestic manufacturer is gradually gaining its positions. Gas boilers Hephaestus convincingly prove that water heating units manufactured at Russian factories are no worse than their foreign counterparts.

Types of gas boilers from Gefest

The equipment of the Hephaestus company meets all the requirements that apply to heating equipment:
  • Reliability - trouble-free operation is ensured by Italian gas automatics.
  • Simplicity of design- since the number of additional units is minimized, breakdowns are practically excluded.
  • Easy to operate and maintain- all the necessary components can be easily purchased at the nearest heating equipment store.
For heating the house, you can choose the following equipment:
  • Wall mounted boilers- save space, in most cases they have two circuits and are dependent on the availability of electricity.
  • Floor standing boilers- the most productive heating equipment of the Hephaestus company, the main purpose of which is to heat the coolant. The DHW circuit is either provided in the basic configuration or manufactured additionally, using a built-in or remote indirect heating boiler.

All Hephaestus boilers, regardless of the configuration, are equipped with sensitive Italian automation that continues to work even when the gas pressure drops to 4 mbar.

Wall mounted boilers

The company focuses on the manufacture of powerful floor-standing units, therefore mounted boilers are presented in only a few modifications. Among them are:

Installation of the Hephaestus mounted boiler is carried out using the anchor bolts included in the package. For connection, taps for two heating circuits (central and "warm floors") and hot water supply are provided.

Floor equipment Hephaestus

Floor-standing units (in comparison with mounted boilers), although they do not have most of the functionality, are distinguished by high performance and reliability. The following modifications are popular:

The technical characteristics of the Hephaestus floor-standing boiler imply connection to a classic chimney. Traditionally, an open combustion chamber and an atmospheric burner are used. Household gas floor boiler Hephaestus flow-through type can be used exclusively for the needs of hot water supply.

Operational Features

As already noted, boiler maintenance does not require a large investment of funds and efforts. It is carried out quickly due to the simplicity of the design and free access to the nodes. Service may be required in the following cases:

In non-flue boilers, reverse draft sensors are installed to prevent the spontaneous extinction of the flame; other monitoring equipment is also used.

A drop in gas pressure or a decrease in the volume of the coolant can cause the automatic operation and an emergency stop signal. The solenoid valve of the boiler shuts off the gas supply and thus prevents the accumulation of explosive substances in the room.

The duration of the operation of the boilers largely depends on the installed hydrogroup of the boiler. Softening water and removing coarse particles and calcium deposits protects the heat exchanger from overheating and extends its life.

Why the Hephaestus floor boiler goes out

One of the most common problems of the owners of Hephaestus boilers, judging by the reviews, remains a malfunction, due to which the flame goes out. What could be the cause of the attenuation?
  • Violation of the technology for installing a coaxial chimney- the consequence of non-compliance with the requirements is an increased volume of flue gases accumulating in the chimney, which leads to spontaneous attenuation as a result of the automatic operation.
  • Wind - boilers with a closed combustion chamber cannot be extinguished even from a strong gust of wind, since a gas reverse draft valve is provided in the design. For heat generators with an open combustion chamber, such a sensor is not provided (can be purchased and installed separately).
  • Violation of operating conditions- if the igniter goes out, the reason does not always lie in a malfunction of the automation, probably a problem with power surges or gas supply. For volatile models, it is recommended to install a UPS and a pressure stabilizer.
Hephaestus boilers are easily repaired, have interchangeable units, which are almost always available. The cost of the station is 2-3 times cheaper than that of German or Czech counterparts, which makes the stations the most attractive equipment of the budget series.

For more than 15 years, the plant CJSC PKF "GEFEST VPR" (Taganrog, Rostov Region), known throughout Russia, has been producing heating boilers of our own design. A distinctive feature of the manufactured products is the high quality of affordable price... The output of the equipment for heating and water supply of individual apartments, cottages and country houses varies from 6 to 50 kW. Hephaestus boilers have a unique heat exchanger design, which, when using reliable European components, saves gas consumption up to 20%. The plant is the first domestic manufacturer of boilers with a closed combustion chamber, has a "Certificate of the Highest Quality Category" (Rostest-Moscow) and is certified according to the international quality standard ISO 9001: 2008.

To date, the plant ZAO PKF "Gefest VPR" produces more than 40 names of gas non-volatile boilers of various modifications:

- Boilers GEFEST with an open combustion chamber (power from 6 to 50 kW)

(these boilers are considered universal, they can operate on both natural gas and solid fuel. They are supplied either with a gas burner block or with a device for operating on solid fuel (the thickness of the metal of the inner furnace is 3 mm), it is also possible to install an electric heating element for heating the heating circuit; used for heating and hot water supply of individual residential buildings)

- Boilers GEFEST with a closed combustion chamber (power from 6 to 20 kW)

(in the heated room the oxygen of the air is not "burned out", the air to maintain combustion comes from the street, and the combustion products are removed outside, thanks to the unique water-tube design of the heat exchanger, the entire heating circuit is quickly and efficiently heated during natural circulation, boilers are produced with a coaxial and separate chimney; can be used both in a regular apartment and in an individual house)

- Wall-hung boilers GEFEST TURBO (power 20 kW)

(when assembling boilers, components from the best European manufacturers are used: gas automatics EUROSIT 630 (Italy), solenoid valve BRAHMA (Spain), valve body FUGAS (Italy), combustion chamber MORA TOP (Czech Republic), pump GRUNDFOS (Germany), boilers are adapted to the conditions operation in Russia, the ability to work without an electronic control unit allows you to withstand power drops from 110 to 300 V; can be used both in a regular apartment and in an individual house).

The use of the original water-tube design of the heat exchanger, which ensures the compactness and durability of the structure, with an efficiency of 90-92%, which does not decrease throughout the entire service life of the boiler, as well as reliable EUROSIT automation (Italy) and a slotted low-flame burner made of POLIDORO (Italy) stainless steel favorably distinguishes boilers brand "Gefest" in front of other Russian manufacturers as a promising dynamically developing enterprise.

The boiler has a closed combustion chamber, i.e. combustion air is taken from outside the room.

For air supply and removal of combustion products, the boiler is manufactured with a separate or coaxial smoke ventilation duct.

With a coaxial outlet, the device (Fig. 1) is equipped with its own smoke ventilation duct, which is installed through a hole in the outer wall of the building and the smoke exhaust system does not require a chimney.

With a separate outlet, the device (Fig. 2) is equipped with an air duct section. Outside, at the end of the smoke ventilation duct or air duct, a windproof terminal device is installed.

The boiler is a welded water-tube structure that forms a water jacket around the entire perimeter, bordering the combustion chamber. For hot water supply, a coil is placed in the upper part of the water jacket.

The combustion chamber has an external opening for the installation of a gas burner device. The panel of the gas burner device has a window for observing the combustion process.

The gas burner device consists of a burner 1 and an automation unit 2.

Automation of the Gefest Taganrog boiler provides gas supply to the pilot and main burners, maintains the temperature in the heated room within the specified limits by switching the main burner to the "low flame" mode and, when the set temperature is reached, switches it off.

Regulation and maintenance of the set temperature is provided by a thermostat, which is controlled by turning the knob with divisions installed on the front panel of the burner. The thermostat setting range is 40-80 ° C.

The boiler is equipped with a gas burner device with thermoelectric control and safety automatic equipment CV-30 (Germany) or EUROSIT (Italy).

The diagram is shown in Fig. 3. The automation has a gas pressure stabilizer in front of the main heater, a "low flame" mode and piezo ignition.

Screw for maximum gas flow, 12. Screw for adjusting gas flow to the pilot burner, 13. Solenoid valve, 14. Valve inlet, 15. Piezo ignition button

The automation of the Hephaestus Taganrog boiler consists of an electromagnetic valve, a thermocouple, a thermostatic valve, a manometric bellows, a capillary tube, and a thermocylinder.

When the gas supply from the network is interrupted, the ignition burner instantly goes out, the solenoid valve closes, blocking the gas access to the gas burner device. When the gas supply is resumed, the ignition must be performed again.

Safety automation provides:

- gas supply to the main burner only in the presence of a flame on the pilot burner for a period of not more than 60 seconds;

- cessation of gas supply when the ignition burner goes out within 5-60 seconds.

The minimum permissible distances from the elements of the facade of the building to the edge of the chimney pipe must be:

- under the window 0.2 m;
- next to the window 0.2 m;
- 0.5 m above ground level.

Discharge of combustion products into entrances, closed balconies, covered walkways and loggias is not allowed.

The steel gas boiler Gefest Taganrog must be installed together with only the duct pipes and terminal included in the delivery set, and the installation must be carried out strictly in accordance with section 6 of this manual.

To ensure the required length of the duct and chimney, they are shortened with scissors or a hacksaw for metal or lengthened with pipes of the appropriate diameter.

Boilers are installed against walls without a combustible coating. There must be a passageway at least 0.5 m wide in front of them.

The expansion tank is located at the highest point in the system. The heating system must be top-wired. The surface of the heating devices is determined by calculation.

In order to avoid obtaining a large hydraulic resistance of the system, it is not recommended to underestimate the diameters of the pipeline. The diagram for connecting the boiler to the heating system is shown in Fig. 4.

Remove the preservative grease and wipe the unit with dry material.

A gas valve must be installed on the gas pipe in front of the boiler, blocking gas access to the device. Pipeline couplings must be precisely matched to the location of the fittings. The connection should not be accompanied by mutual interference of pipes and device assemblies.

Installation of Hephaestus boilers with a coaxial path should be performed in the following sequence according to Fig. 5:

Lean the unit against the outer wall of the room with the annular ledge on its rear wall and mark the location of the hole on the wall. Punch a horizontal hole 10-20 mm in diameter larger than the diameter of the duct.

Install the duct nozzle 1 horizontally along the axis of the hole so that the end is flush with the inner plane of the wall, protrudes 50 ± 5 mm from the outside and fix the nozzle to prevent its deformation.

Adjust the length of the flue pipe. The length of the flue pipe must be 100 ± 5 mm longer than the length of the air duct.

Fill the cavity between the walls of the hole and the pipes with mortar or construction foam.

Install the device with an annular protrusion on its back wall on the end of the air duct so that the surface of the top cover is horizontal, and mark the locations of the fastening pins 5 on the wall using the lugs 4. Make holes in the wall with a depth of at least 70 mm and a diameter of at least 10 mm, install the studs in them in a way that ensures the strength of the seal.

Secure the boiler to the studs with washers and nuts. The boiler must be positioned VERTICAL.

Put on the chimney pipe on the chimney of the appliance and install the terminal on the air duct and chimney pipes and fix it with screws.

Installation of the Hephaestus boiler with separate air supply and smoke exhaust ducts

When implementing the option to eliminate the effect of reverse draft, it is necessary to ensure the connection of the duct and chimney channels below the point of connection to them from the corresponding air supply and smoke exhaust ducts of the unit.

When implementing the option with individual air supply through the outer wall (Fig. 7), it is necessary to use the air duct section with a terminal supplied by the manufacturer.

When ventilating the room (kitchen), under the window of which the boiler is installed, it is necessary to open only the window. It is not recommended to open the window. It is strictly forbidden to install shut-off valves on the riser running from the apparatus to the expansion tank.

After installation, check the gas and water supply lines of the boiler for leaks. Check the tightness of the gas pipelines using a soapy emulsion. Do not use fire to detect gas leaks.

Introduction Boiler selection The boiler power required to heat a house is determined based on the size of the house, the thickness and material of the walls, the size and number of windows, the temperature in winter and other factors. The exact calculation is made by the designers of the heating system.

Approximate calculation: for every 10 square meters of house area, with a ceiling height of 2.7 meters, 1 kW of power is required. (For example, for a house with an area of 100 square meters, a boiler with a capacity of 100/10 = 10 kW is required, and for a house with an area of 300 square meters, a boiler with a capacity of 300/10 = 30 kW is required.) Attention! An approximate calculation is given for preliminary assessment and is of a recommendatory nature. The approximate calculation of power is based on statistical experimental data, but has sufficient high degree reliability.

This operating manual is intended to familiarize you with the design, purpose and methods of safe use of a steel heating boiler (hereinafter referred to as the boiler) and applies to heating boilers.

The principle of operation of the boiler is based on the transfer of thermal energy released during fuel combustion to the heat carrier - water. As a result of combustion, the walls, the cover and partly the bottom of the furnace and the surfaces of the pipes are heated and transfer heat to the water circulating in the water jacket and inside the pipes, which comes out through the supply pipe in the upper part of the boiler. Water - return water enters the boiler through the return pipe in the lower part of the side wall.

Fuel combustion takes place in a firebox inside the body. Air enters the combustion zone through the grate.

The amount of air is regulated:

Manually using the handle 11, twisting or unscrewing, thereby changing the inclination of the shutter 9;

Automatically using a draft regulator (draft regulator is not included in the boiler package) Draft regulator - installed in branch pipe 15 at the outlet of the boiler body and performs the following functions - reading the water temperature in the heating system and, if necessary, adjusting the primary combustion air supply under the grate of the boiler, while opening or closing the damper. Thus, it became possible to regulate the intensity of combustion by the position of the control flap. The thermostat is connected to the shutter 9 with a special chain attached to the lever of the shutter 10 of the ash pan door 12 so that it is possible to adjust its tension.

The boiler design provides for the installation of a heating element 4 kW. It can be used to heat water in the heating system, both when burning fuel in the boiler, and independently. The heating element in the unit is powered separately to the 220 V.

The outlet manifold must have a cross-section of DN 32 mm (1 1/4) up to the safety device of the open expansion vessel or the safety valve.

As a rule, it rises vertically above the heating system at the top point, an open expansion tank is installed (or a safety group for a closed system) and the coolant is disassembled after passing the top point.

Provide valves for bleeding air from the heating system.

For piping the boiler with natural circulation (Fig. 4), use pipes with a cross-section of DN 32 mm (1 1/4), and assemble the system with slopes that ensure complete drainage of the water through the drain valve on the return pipe, and expel air from the system when filling it water from bottom to top.

Seal threaded connections with winding: with TangitUniLock impregnated threads, [email protected] or flax plumbing, with application to the winding surface and the inner surface of the threaded boiler nozzle, sanitary silicone gel or special paste.

In order to prevent the formation of scale on the heated surfaces of the boiler jacket, it is necessary to carry out a chemical treatment of the water. The choice of the method of water treatment for powering boilers and heating systems should be made by a specialized (design, commissioning) organization.

Water for replenishment of open heat supply systems must meet the requirements of GOST 2874 - Drinking water.

Attention:

1) Operation of boilers without pre-boiler or intra-boiler water treatment is prohibited.

2) The boiler does not work alone, but as part of the heating system and the operation of the boiler depends on how the heating system is installed.

PREPARATION OF THE HEATING SYSTEM AND BOILER

1. The boiler must be operated only when connected to a heating system filled with heat carrier. The coolant can be GOST 2874 water with a water hardness of up to 5 mg-eq / l., Antifreeze based on non-toxic propylene glycol.

2. Fill the open heating system with coolant until it emerges from the overflow pipe of the expansion tank.

3. Filling and replenishing the open heating system with water from the water supply system, in order to avoid damage to the boiler, reduce the water pressure to 2.5 kgf / cm2 through a pressure reducer. Fill an open heating system with water from a water supply system without a pressure reducer, through the expansion tank, and then make sure that there are no air locks.

4. When the heating system is filled with coolant, the convective surfaces of the chimney acquire a slightly convex shape. Bending of surfaces is not a malfunction, does not interfere with the use of the heating device for its intended purpose, does not affect the tightness, technical parameters and characteristics of the device.

Boiler operation

1. During the operation of the heating system, the level of the coolant in the open expansion tank should not drop less than its height and it should be maintained by periodically topping up the coolant.

2. It is forbidden to use water from the heating system for domestic needs, as this can lead to a drop in the water level and stop circulation.

3. Check if the tap on the return line of the heating system is open and check the presence of draft.

4. Ignition:

Open the door flap.

Fill the boiler furnace with starting material (paper, dry wood chips, wood), placing it on the grate.

Ignite the starting material.

When normal combustion of the starting material is achieved, on the burning wood, through the loading hatch, pour a layer of the main fuel 50-60 mm thick.

Attention! Do not open and close the loading door without special hand protection.

Add another portion of fuel (in 10-20 minutes) when the first layer of the main fuel has ignited. For the boiler to operate in the nominal mode, it is necessary to maintain a layer of fuel on the grate of about 150 mm. It is possible to force the furnace (that is, to increase the air flow) only after the formation of a small slag cushion.

To prevent smoke blowing into the room through the loading hatch during the addition of the next portions of the main fuel, it is necessary to close the flap of the ash pan door. After loading a portion of fuel, open the door flap.

5.Operation:

After reaching the desired heating water temperature, it is recommended to reduce the amount of supplied air. Fine adjustment of the power is carried out by the ash-pan door flap, with the help of which the air supply under the grate is regulated manually or using the installed draft regulator.

Depending on the heat demand and combustion intensity, the boiler must be refilled with fuel. Add fuel so that the layer height is uniform throughout the entire depth of the boiler.

For long burning at night it is necessary to clean the grate, ignite the added fuel well, and then reduce the boiler output by reducing the draft by using the chimney flap (attention! it is not recommended to close the damper completely during combustion) and by closing the air supply flap.

In the morning, renew the boiler operation by opening the smoke flap, request the grate with the ash pan door open.

Ash from the ash pan must be removed during boiler operation several times a day, depending on the fuel used, since a filled ash pan prevents the correct distribution of combustion air under the fuel and contributes to uneven heating of the fuel on the grate. All residues in the furnace, especially slag, are removed before each new kindling and when the boiler is renewed.

Ash must be placed in non-combustible containers with a lid. Protective equipment and personal safety must be used during work.

When burning coke or anthracite, it is necessary to clean the walls of the boiler inside the furnace, the chimneys of the boiler and the flue pipe on a regular basis once a month.

When burning coal, clean once a week.

When using fuels with a high release of volatile components, tar deposits can appear on the walls of the boiler, which must be removed with a scraper or burning with dry wood (or coke) when the boiler is operating at maximum operating temperature.

ATTENTION! When the boiler is fired up for the first time, water (usually black) may flow from under the ash drawer.

Most often this manifests itself when the heating system is first started, when moisture from the air and fuel condenses on the cold walls of an unheated boiler and stops after the heating system, the walls of the boiler and the walls of the chimney have warmed up.

It may take several days of boiler operation to completely stop the formation of condensate.

Boiling of the coolant in the boiler and heating system is not allowed.

During the operation of the boiler, the temperature of the coolant at the outlet from it should not exceed 85 ° C. If there is a knocking noise in the system (water hammer due to steam generation), immediately! Remove unburned coal (heat) from the furnace, allow the coolant to cool down to a temperature of 60-700C, then add coolant to the system and re-melt the boiler. DO NOT extinguish fuel with water, as this leads to the destruction of the grates.

In winter, if it is necessary to stop the heating of a boiler that is not equipped with a heating element unit for more than a day, it is necessary, in order to avoid freezing, to completely empty the heating and hot water supply system from water.
